Our Labs are a family raised business, we have a 15 year old son and 12 year old daughter. Our goal is to raise quality, healthy and well socialized Labrador Retrievers. We believe that it makes a BIG difference on how much attention the puppies are given their first 8 weeks of their life. We live on a ranch in Colorado where we are able to give each puppy the love and attention they require. The puppies are born in our home, we are with the puppies from the minute they are born to insure the safest delivery for Mom and the little ones. We want the puppies to go to homes that will love them like we do. Each puppy becomes a part of our family and we make sure that they are matched up with the best home they can have. Our goal is to place each of our Labrador puppies with loving families as pets, companions and family members. We try to restrict new families from breeding our Labrador puppies. The reason for this, as with any good breeder, we believe it is our responsibility to assure that this amazing breed stays to it's finest quality. It is not as simple as having two dogs and breeding them. We have done a lot of research on the pedigrees to find the Labrador that best fits our program to breed English Style Labs.
In the 7 to 8 weeks we have your little one we give each one individual attention so they all walk away with great social skills. We believe that when you come to see puppies that none of them should be afraid of humans, if they run to the back of the kennel then they are not socialized well enough. All of our puppies can't wait for us to come and play with them and then fall asleep on us. We know puppies will be scared of some noises that are new to them, but they should never be frightened by humans voice or presence. We introduce them to all sorts of textures inside and outside (gravel, cement, snow, water, mud). Once you pick out your puppy and name him/her, we will start calling them by their name. This makes it easier when you take them home so they are already aware of their name. At the same time they will get a colored collar so when you visit them or view them on the website you will be able to pick out your puppy from the others, they will wear this until it is time for them to go home. We post pictures of the puppies at least every week. We encourage the families to visit regularly once they have picked out their little one. We believe this helps for the new families to become aquianted with them and to see how he/she are living their first weeks of their lives. We let the families choose a puppy when they are around four weeks of age.
We strive to offer our puppy owners genetically sound - quality puppies. All of our puppies go home current on their shots, are wormed and dewclaws removed. We give every family a 26 month hereditary health guarantee. We need written documentation from a licensed veterinarian stating that the dog isn't sound. The OFA certificate must state different than excellent, good or fair. The eye certificate must state not clear. For further details on our guarantee, check out our guarantee tab.
If at ANYTIME the purchaser decides that they can no longer keep or care for the dog. The purchaser shall return the dog to the breeder. Purchaser shall provide to the breeder with the dog, the dog documentation necessary to transfer the AKC ownership records of the dog to the breeder.
