COLORADO ASPEN LABS
26 MONTH PUPPY GUARANTEE
We, as experienced breeders, are concerned about genetic health considerations, and have background knowledge of our labs going back several generations. We carefully research all breeding stock to make sure that prior lineages have been strong in hips and eyes (good/excellent OFA). Because of our research and knowledge of our Labradors history, we offer a written guarantee against any genetic hip, eye or hereditary health issue for 26 months.
We guarantee this puppy to be in sound health, exhibits no sign of contagious or infectious diseases, and shows no evidence of internal or external parasites, (excluding fleas/tics) or any communicable diseases. No physical evidence of congenital or hereditary defects exists to the best of our knowledge and belief, as of date of purchase.
Even though we have done research and cleared our labs through OFA, the buyer understands that this is NOT an absolute guarantee against the genetic defect from occurring.
We guarantee the puppy to be free of any genetic defect up to 26 months of age. If a puppy is suspected of any eye problems, such as progressive retinal atrophy, it must be verified by a qualified veterinary ophthalmologist.
Hip or Elbow Dysplasia - puppy must be x-rayed no later than 26 months of age (2 years and 2 months); and if your veterinarian suspects a problem, the x-ray must be verified by the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) as to the condition of the hips or elbows. All documentation and canine will need to be returned to COLORADO ASPEN LABS to be viewed by our veterinarian.
If a health defect is determined to be genetic/hereditary, COLORADO ASPEN LABS will replace the dog with another puppy as soon as possible. (If deposits have been made against that particular litter, the choice for the puppy being replaced will fall in line behind the deposits made at that point) (If you paid a lesser amount than what the second puppies price is, buyer will pay the difference for the second puppy). Your second option is getting a refund of the original purchase price of the puppy. With these two options the puppy would have to be returned to COLORADO ASPEN LABS with its AKC paperwork. Your third option is to keep the original puppy and COLORADO ASPEN LABS will refund you $500.00. All diagnostic and shipping expenses will be the owner's responsibility and once you choose one of these options, this releases COLORADO ASPEN LABS of any further guarantee with the original puppy.
These warranties are dependent upon determination that the puppy has received adequate care and nutrition. Abuse, neglect, bad diet, over weight, trauma (i.e. jumping in the air for Frisbees, going up and down apartment stairs, jumping out of or on vehicles), in any way that affects the development or well being of the puppy will void these warranties. The final diagnosis will be determined by our veterinarian.
